Abstract

The regular practice of physical exercise can bring health benefits, being a strategy to reduce the risk of non-communicable chronic diseases, and considered low cost. Due to the emergence of the new coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2, distancing and social isolation were one of the containment measures, so physical activity sessions and physical exercises via the internet were widely disseminated and even recommended, due to their safety and low cost. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the satisfaction of physical exercise practitioners in relation to online training. This is a cross-sectional study, carried out through a questionnaire in the form of a research opinion. The survey was carried out between March 9 and 30, 2022, via the WhatsApp application, through a questionnaire. A total of 118 participants participated in this study, 78.6% female, 20.5% male and 0.9% preferred not to identify themselves. 55.5% were not accompanied by a Physical Education Professional, 39.1% said they had, and 5.5% were accompanied by other professionals. 47.6% adhered to online training or consulting due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 30.5% for practicality, 11.4% for low cost, 6.7% for indication, most follow-ups were via 30.5 % You Tube, 27.6% used WhatsApp, 9.5% used Instagram and 5.7% the Zoom application. As for those having difficulty in this format, 62.3% responded sometimes, 18.9% never, 13.2% often and 5.7% always responded. It is concluded that, in view of the objective proposed in that study, it was possible to observe the dissatisfaction of practitioners in relation to online training, despite the controversy of many reporting that they would recommend it.
