The objective of this work was to verify, through an integrative literature review, which are the methodologies used in teaching and learning for food and nutrition education for children. An integrative review was carried out. The search for articles was carried out in the PubMed, Scielo, Lilacs databases using the descriptors in Portuguese and English: “Food and nutrition education”, “Aprendizagem”, “Docência”, “Fodd and nutrition”, “Learning” and "Teaching", joined with the Boolean operator "AND". Access to the databases was carried out in December 2021. 87 articles were found and after applying the inclusion criteria, 6 articles remained. From the analysis of the articles it was noticed that ludic methodologies are all teaching didactics that can involve games and games, being an effective way to increase students' interest in some discipline, as it presents knowledge in a fun and cooperative way, leaving the trivial "be a bá” of everyday school life. The use of playful methodologies as a form of intervention plays an important role in the process of changing children's eating habits by stimulating interest and curiosity in food, and contributing for changes and acquisition of new habits.
