Keywords:

For a long time, research in graphic design and visual communication focused on aesthetic and functional aspects, neglecting the representation of diverse cultural identities. However, the persistence of Eurocentric paradigms perpetuates the invisibility of groups such as the black Amazonian population. To explore this gap, this article aims to critically analyze the visual communication of COP30, proposing decolonial and anti-racist guidelines. Based on visual semiotics and decolonial perspectives, an exploratory qualitative research was conducted through bibliographic review and documentary analysis of official and independent profiles. The results indicated a systematic invisibility of black Amazonian identity in official channels, operating as a semiotic silence. As the main contribution, this article presents to the literature the importance of graphic design as a tool for social transformation, offering guidelines for a fairer and more representative visual communication, capable of strengthening the local creative economy.
