A Systematic Literature Review on its Applications and Challenges

This article presents a systematic literature review about the intersection between artificial intelligence (AI), education and communication, investigating the main applications and challenges identified in recent studies. Based on a rigorous selection and analysis protocol, academic publications that address the impact of AI in formal and non-formal education, digital inclusion and the ethical challenges involved were reviewed. The results indicate an increasing integration of AI in educational and communicational environments, highlighting both its transformative potential and ethical limitations and concerns. Finally, the study points out gaps in the literature and proposes directions for future research.
