Abstract

This study analyses the online movement #adiaENEM on Twitter during COVID-19 pandemic, which aimed to delay the application of Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (National High School Exam) in Northern Brazil. This research is based on the comprehension of online social movements and power relations built through inequalities, everyday resistances, transversal struggles, and individual autonomy. Through a netnography, two waves of the movement were detected in May 2020 and January 2021 and there were concluded the arguments and the structures of different webs in each wave. In 2020, the main topic was the social and psychological inequality, while in 2021, the central question revolved around an argument of life or death.
