Abstract

In contemporary society, the rapid and abundant exchange of information is a striking characteristic. We are immersed in an era of information and knowledge, where information has become a vital resource. Therefore, it is crucial to develop skills that enable people to make intelligent, efficient, and ethical use of this vast amount of information, especially as Artificial Intelligence becomes an increasingly present reality in our daily lives. This study focuses on exploring the interactions between Information Literacy and Artificial Intelligence, with a specific focus on the ChatGPT tool, aiming to promote knowledge construction. We acknowledge that both Information Literacy and Artificial Intelligence are tools designed to be used by humans, and we understand that this technology still depends on deeply human aspects to achieve its full utility. Therefore, as technology advances, it is essential for people to further develop their information literacy skills in order to fully explore the potential and meaning of Artificial Intelligence.
