The Proceedings of the V Scientific Meeting of the National Meeting of Physiotherapy in Trauma-Orthopedics (ENFITO) represent an important platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge and for the recognition of academic production in the field of Physiotherapy. Held on September 7, 2024, in a virtual format, the event was organized by the Toledo Wyden University Center of Araçatuba in partnership with the Metrocamp Wyden University Center of Campinas, bringing together researchers, faculty members, and students interested in advancing clinical practice and scientific research.
This edition of the proceedings brings together studies that address different themes relevant to contemporary physiotherapy practice, covering areas such as trauma-orthopedics, cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, pediatric physiotherapy, and functional rehabilitation. The works presented include literature reviews, case reports, experience reports, and observational studies, reflecting the diversity of methodological approaches and the breadth of challenges faced in the health field.
Among the topics discussed are rehabilitation strategies for musculoskeletal injuries, physiotherapeutic interventions for patients with cystic fibrosis, the impact of low back pain on quality of life, postural alterations in children, and the relationship between physical activity levels and symptoms associated with long COVID. These investigations contribute to expanding the understanding of different clinical conditions and reinforce the importance of evidence-based practice in healthcare.
More than a scientific record, these proceedings reflect the commitment of the involved institutions to academic training, research development, and the promotion of spaces for scientific dialogue. It is hoped that the works presented here will inspire new investigations, strengthen professional practice, and contribute to the advancement of Physiotherapy.
