A INFLUÊNCIA DO ELEMENTO TEMPO NA NARRATIVA DO FILME “EFEITO BORBOLETA”

Resumo

As intrigantes viagens no tempo do personagem Evan nos faz refletir sobre a possibilidade de alterar o passado e vivermos melhor no futuro. Mas a impossibilidade desse evento nos torna curiosos por saber como o tempo pode influenciar na narrativa televisual, ainda mais em uma história como a do filme “Efeito Borboleta” que acontece em sucessivos flash-backs. O objetivo desse artigo é desvendar como o tempo, espinha dorsal do filme e um dos principais elementos da narrativa, influencia no tema proposto pela história. O trabalho se inicia pela análise do imaginário e da ficção, mostrando as relações da simbologia dos números e elementos na transformação psicológica dos personagens através do tempo. A idéia é proporcionar uma leitura mais crítica da influência do tempo sobre os acontecimentos da história do filme.

Abstract:

The intriguing time trips of the character Evan make us contemplate about the possibility to change the past and live better in the future. But the impossibility of that event turns us curious about knowing how the time can  nfluence in the televisual narrative, even so in a story as the one of the film “The Butterfly Effect” that happens in successive flash-backs. The goal of this article is to unmask how the time, the backbone of the movie and one of the main narrative´s element, affects in the theme proposed by the story. The study starts by the analyze of the imaginary and the fiction, showing the relations of the numbers symbolism and the elements in the psychological changing of the characters through the time. The idea is to provide a more critical reading of the time´s influence over the events of the movie story.
