Abstract

Public Communication (PC) is an instrument that plays a strategic role in the process of democratizing information. In Pará, women in situations of domestic violence face several social barriers, such as lack of knowledge of their own rights. This article seeks to understand how the Public Defender's Office of the State of Pará (DPE-PA) uses digital platforms such as Instagram to promote education on rights. The research, which uses a qualitative approach and case study, investigated publications posted between May 2024 and April 2025 and interviewed the head of the social media section of the Communications Department. It was concluded that by adopting accessible and humanized language, the DPE-PA seeks to contribute to combating gender violence, strengthening access to information and the pursuit of rights.
